Applique Class:

Saturday, February 14th

$30 plus pattern and supplies

This spring time applique wall hanging will be perfect to display for ushering in the spring weather.  In this class we will be focusing on the technique of fusible applique.  This class is appropriate for the beginner appliquer or the experienced.  We will be using a non-stick pressing sheet to arrange our pieces and using machine decorative stitches to embellish and applique our wall hanging.    

There is a supply list for class--the purchase of the pattern is required for everyone attending.

You will need to bring your own sewing machine for this class.  

Space is limited so register now--there is prep work to be done prior to class.  

2026 Stash-buster Show and Tell Challenge

Featuring Elizabeth Hartman's newest pattern "Show and Tell"

1. Purchase our Buy-In Kit for $110 which includes:  

  Pattern Book

  Background fabric for 75" x 85" quilt

  Fabric to make 3 of each of the four animals featured in the quilt (minus of course their quilts)--that is where your stash comes into play.

  **no binding is included in this kit

  Entry into our "Show and Tell" Quilt Show in December 2026

2. Use January through November of 2026 to work on your quilt top, using your own stash (or purchase fabric) to make all of the critter's quilts for the quilt.  We are excited to see all your creative ideas for the quilts.

3.  December 1st - 5th bring your finished quilt top or quilt in to BSQ to be displayed in our Quilt Show for customers to enjoy and vote on their favorite.  

  Our quilt show will run Dec. 7th -Dec. 18th

  On December 19th come to a "Show and Tell" party. There will be refreshments and  you will have the chance to "show and tell" about your quilt to your quilting colleagues, win prizes (details TBD--but "Best of Show" will win a $75 gift card)!

We have made you a sample quilt featuring one of each animal to show you the fabrics that will be in your quilt kit.  Minimum quilt size to be in the show is 4 blocks.  We are looking for your best de-stashing and creativity.
